Where To Sail

The Cruising Area

Whether you charter for a day, weekend or a full week you are spoilt for choice for places to visit. A short distance westward lies historic Portsmouth where you can see the Royal Navy and visit the various maritime museums and old ships. Berth at Gunwharf Quays and enjoy the shopping and entertainment available at the numerous bars, clubs and restaurants.

Continuing westward take the opportunity to explore the Hamble River, Southampton water and moor right in the heart of the City at Ocean Village.

Further west still, you may choose to meander up the beautiful Beaulieu River , moor at Bucklers Hard and lunch at The Master Builders Hotel or visit Lymington with its cobbled streets and excellent choice of restaurants and pubs.

A short distance to the south lies the wonderful Isle of Wight. Drop your anchor in Priory Bay, Osborne Bay or Newtown Creek for a spot of lunch. Savour the special atmosphere of Cowes, the mecca of sailing or overnight in pretty Yarmouth, one of the jewels on the south coast, and sample the many fine restaurants and pubs.

Further a field, the French coast, parts of Normandy and Brittany as well as the Channel Islands are ideal for longer cruises.
